Easily Download and Update PhpStorm With the Toolbox App on Windows 10

1. Help – Check for Updates… opens the IDE and Plugin Updates dialog, as shown in Figure 1.

2. Click Blog / Download to open the download page. You will see the prompt: Get the Toolbox App to download PhpStorm and its future updates with ease. Click it to proceed to the next step, as shown in Figure 2.

3. Click [Y]es, I agree to consent to JetBrains using cookies and my IP address, as shown in Figure 3.

4. Click FREE DOWNLOAD. Once the download and installation are complete, the JetBrains Toolbox dialog appears, as shown in Figure 4.

5. Click the Update button on the right side of PhpStorm, as shown in Figures 5 and 6.

6. Open the newly installed PhpStorm and import the settings from version 182, as shown in Figure 7.

7. After installing PhpStorm 2018.3.2, uninstall version 182 by clicking the Uninstall button on the right, as shown in Figure 8.

8. During the uninstallation process, delete the cache, settings, and installed plugins for version 182 (decide whether to check these options yourself), as shown in Figure 9.

9. After the uninstallation is complete, the Uninstall button on the right side of version 182 still exists, as shown in Figure 10.

10. After exiting JetBrains Toolbox and opening it again, version 182 has disappeared, as shown in Figure 11.
