1. When viewing monitoring data in Alibaba Cloud ECS, some charts display no data until you install the monitoring plugin. See Figure 1.
2. Click to install the plugin and install the Cloud Monitor plugin. The installation process takes 1-2 minutes; please check back later. See Figure 2.
3. After waiting a few minutes, you can view the cloud disk usage rate / Inode usage rate. Click to view more metrics and check the disk monitoring metrics. /dev/vda1 is the system disk, and /dev/vdb1 is the data disk. The (Agent)disk.usage.used_device—Average under Disk usage (bytes) indicates the average disk usage. /dev/vda1 has already used 11 GB. /dev/vdb1 has already used 17 GB. See Figure 3.
4. Viewing the cloud disk details in Alibaba Cloud ECS, /dev/vda1 is the system disk, an SSD cloud disk with a size of 20 GB. /dev/vdb1 is the data disk, a standard cloud disk with a size of 40 GB. From this, the disk usage rates are calculated as: 11 GB / 20 GB = 55%, and 17 GB / 40 GB = 43%. There is no need to expand capacity for now. See Figure 4.
