Hands-On With the Zoog Affiliate Program: From Standalone Account to China-Specific Promo Links

In the previous article, “Follow-up on Zoog Access Testing in Mainland China: Official Confirmation of Access Challenges and Current Recommended Entry Points“, I documented Zoog’s official response to the earlier access test in mainland China.

In the email, the Zoog Affiliate Manager not only confirmed that accessibility within the mainland Chinese network environment is a significant challenge for them, but also mentioned that they will continuously maintain recommended entry points for Chinese users, advising affiliate partners to obtain the latest promotional links via the Affiliate Dashboard.

This raised a new question for me:

What exactly does the Zoog affiliate backend look like? Can a standard Zoog account log in directly? And where can I obtain the promotional link specifically for Chinese users?

Therefore, after receiving the official reply, I proceeded to complete the registration for the Zoog Affiliate Program and actually logged into the backend to review the promotional links, commission rules, and payout methods.

The entire process was slightly more complex than I initially anticipated, and I discovered several details that were previously unclear to me.

This article documents this complete hands-on test.

1. Initially, I thought a standard Zoog account could be used directly

I already had a standard Zoog user account.

After navigating to “Promotional Cooperation” from the user backend, the page redirected to Zoog’s Affiliate Program, and the affiliate system actually uses Post Affiliate Pro.

The affiliate backend address belongs to a standalone system, rather than the standard Zoog user center.

At first, I tried logging in using my original Zoog user email and password.

The result was a direct prompt:

Wrong Username(E-mail) and/or Password

At this point, I began to suspect:

The standard Zoog user account and the Affiliate account might not share the same account system.

2. Attempting password recovery yielded no email

To avoid duplicate registration, I did not immediately create a new Affiliate account; instead, I first tried password recovery.

After clicking Forgot Password on the affiliate backend, the page prompted:

If your email exists in our database, you will receive a reset link.

This prompt itself does not prove that the email exists.

Because many websites display similar results regardless of whether the email actually exists, to prevent user enumeration via the password recovery function.

I waited for a while, checking both my inbox and spam folder, but ultimately did not receive a password reset email.

Combined with the previous login failure, I could basically conclude:

My previously used standard Zoog account did not have a corresponding Affiliate Program account.

3. Zoog Affiliate uses a standalone account system

After confirming that I could not access the system via my original account, I began formally registering for the Zoog Affiliate Program.

I continued to register using the same email address I had used to communicate with the Zoog Affiliate Manager.

The advantage of this is that if manual review or communication with the Affiliate Manager is needed later, the previous email records and the new affiliate account can remain consistent.

The registration page mainly required filling in:

• Name;
• Email;
• Country/Region;
• Contact information;
• Promotion method;
• Payout method;
• Affiliate terms confirmation.

In the promotion method description, I filled it out according to my actual situation:

I run a bilingual Chinese-English technology blog at shuijingwanwq.com. I plan to promote Zoog through hands-on product reviews, real-world accessibility testing, service updates, comparisons, and long-term usage reports.

This means I primarily promote through content such as a bilingual Chinese-English tech blog, actual product testing, accessibility records, service changes, and long-term experience reports.

This is also the method I am genuinely preparing to use, rather than relying on paid advertising or mass distribution.

4. Ultimately choosing Crypto as the payout method

There is another rather noteworthy point during the registration process: the payout method.

The backend provided multiple options, including:

• PayPal;
• Crypto;
• Bank / Wire transfer;
• Other.

Although I have a PayPal account, I currently cannot confirm whether I will be able to successfully receive payments later.

Bank wire transfer is also not the most convenient method for me right now.

Therefore, for this registration, I ultimately chose:

Crypto

Interestingly, after selecting Crypto on the registration page, it did not immediately ask for a specific currency like BTC, ETH, or USDC, nor did it ask for a blockchain network or wallet address.

The page simply displayed a:

Payable to

Thus, at least at the registration stage, Zoog does not require direct configuration of specific wallet information.

The specific asset, network, and how to configure the wallet can be confirmed when actually dealing with a withdrawal; there is no need to handle it in advance during registration.

5. Before registering, I also reviewed the Affiliate Terms

The final step of registration requires accepting the ZoogVPN Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions.

Notable rules include:

Prohibition of spam and spam social media promotion;

Prohibition of purchasing products through your own Affiliate Link to earn commissions;

Restrictions on certain PPC bidding related to the Zoog brand;

Prohibition of fraudulent traffic, bots, and simulated real users;

In abnormal situations, Zoog may require Affiliates to provide actual promotional evidence.

For me, authentic blog posts themselves can form a fairly complete promotional record.

For example:

Article URLs, Google Analytics traffic data, affiliate backend statistics, and actual product testing records can all serve as long-term evidence.

This is also one of the reasons I prefer to continue creating genuine testing content, rather than simply copying product introductions.

6. After submitting the registration, the Affiliate account was quickly approved

After completing all information and submitting it, the page first prompted that registration was successful:

You have successfully signed up for affiliate program.

Shortly after, I received an email from Zoog Affiliate.

More importantly, the email directly stated:

You have been approved

This means that this application did not enter a lengthy manual review phase, but was approved very quickly.

The email also provided the entry point to set the Affiliate account password for the first time.

After setting the password, I could formally log into the Affiliate Dashboard.

7. Entering the Affiliate Dashboard for the first time, finally finding the promotional links

After logging into the Affiliate Dashboard, the Affiliate Link was provided directly at the top of the homepage.

However, a very important detail appeared here:

Zoog does not just provide a single promotional link.

The backend currently displays three types:

Your General Affiliate Link

Your Affiliate Link (China)

Your Affiliate Link (Russia)

Your General Affiliate Link

Your Affiliate Link (China)

Your Affiliate Link (Russia)

This indicates that Zoog has already maintained different promotional entry points for different use cases.

This also exactly verifies the Affiliate Manager’s previous statement in the email: affiliate partners can obtain the promotional links they currently maintain through the backend.

8. The General Link and China Link are not just a language difference

Next, I actually opened these links.

The General Affiliate Link ultimately leads to the official Zoog main site.

In my current access environment, it ultimately displayed the Chinese page:

zoogvpn.com/zh-cn/

zoogvpn.com/zh-cn/

This makes me suspect that the General Link itself might combine the visitor’s language, cookies, or other localization conditions to direct users to the corresponding language version.

However, based on just a single test, I cannot yet determine the specific judgment rules.

More noteworthy is the China Affiliate Link.

It does not lead to the standard official Chinese version, but rather to:

www.zoog.pro/zh-cn/best-china-solution/

www.zoog.pro/zh-cn/best-china-solution/

That is to say:

China Link = Standalone domain + Landing Page exclusively for Chinese users

Instead of simply:

General Link + Chinese language parameter

These two entry points actually serve different purposes.

9. The Russia Link even uses a different domain

I also went ahead and opened the Russia Affiliate Link.

It leads to:

zoogas.site

zoogas.site

Therefore, the differences among the General, China, and Russia links are already very clear.

They are not simply the same page switching languages, but rather Zoog maintaining different domains or Landing Pages based on different target users.

However, the Affiliate identity identifier used in these three Affiliate Links remains consistent.

Thus, from current observations, it can be understood as:

The same Affiliate account, promoting through different target pages.

10. How I plan to use the different Affiliate Links

After this practical test, I plan to adopt a fairly simple rule.

For standard Zoog product articles, global user content, or articles without specific regional attributes, I will prioritize using:

General Affiliate Link

When explicitly discussing mainland China access situations, Chinese user scenarios, or entry point changes, I will prioritize using:

China Affiliate Link

For example, my recently published previous article was itself discussing Zoog’s official response to the mainland China access issue, so using the China Affiliate Link is more appropriate for the content.

As for the Russia Link, my website currently lacks corresponding content, so I will not specifically use it for now.

This approach also avoids mechanically binding all articles to the same landing page.

11. Current commission rules

After entering the Affiliate Program Details, you can also see the specific current commission rules.

As of July 29, 2026, the new purchase commissions displayed in the backend vary according to the plan duration:

Monthly: 80%

6 months: 40%

1 year: 30%

2 years: 30%

Monthly: 80%

6 months: 40%

1 year: 30%

2 years: 30%

The renewal commission for the above plans is:

30%

30%

For plans exceeding 2 years, it displays:

New purchase: 20%

Renewal: 20%

New purchase: 20%

Renewal: 20%

Therefore, the “up to 80% commission” claim itself is not problematic, but it does not mean that all initial purchases will yield an 80% commission.

A more accurate description would be:

New purchase commissions are up to 80%, most renewals are 30%, and for plans exceeding 2 years, both new purchases and renewals are 20%.

The backend currently also displays:

Cookie: 60 days

Commission confirmation period: 30 days

Minimum withdrawal amount: $50

Cookie: 60 days

Minimum withdrawal amount: $50

Payout methods include not only PayPal and bank transfer, but also various Crypto options.

These rules may still be adjusted in the future, so what is recorded here is the status I actually saw during this registration.

12. There is also a click tracking issue

The Affiliate Dashboard homepage currently has an official notification:

Zoog states that there is a temporary issue with the affiliate system’s click tracking, and they are investigating.

The notification also explains:

Sales and commissions can still be tracked normally.

This means that until this issue is resolved, even if the Clicks data seen in the Affiliate Dashboard is low or unchanged, you cannot immediately conclude that no users are clicking the promotional link.

For newly created accounts just starting promotion, this is particularly prone to misjudgment.

13. This registration made me重新 understand Zoog’s promotional entry points

Initially, I simply wanted to enter the backend to get an affiliate link because I received the Affiliate Manager’s email reply.

Only after actually operating it did I realize that there are several details I didn’t know before:

A standard Zoog user account cannot directly log into the Affiliate Dashboard;

The Affiliate Program uses a standalone account;

Approval can be obtained very quickly after registration;

Zoog maintains different Affiliate Landing Pages for different regions;

The China Link is not the standard official Chinese version, but a dedicated entry point for Chinese users;

The General Link is more suitable as the default promotional entry point for content without specific regional attributes.

If you only look at the product’s official website, it is actually difficult to obtain all this information completely.

By actually registering, logging in, and opening different links, the entire system becomes much clearer.

For me, this is also the value of continuing to document the actual operational process of affiliate marketing.

Rather than just writing about “how much commission a certain platform offers,” I prefer to document:

What I actually encountered during the application, what the backend looks like, where misunderstandings are likely to arise, and how I ultimately decided to actually use it.

If there are significant changes to Zoog’s Affiliate Links, commission rules, entry domains, or backend mechanics in the future, I will continue to document them based on actual results.
