My “Le Shi” element should cover the navigation menu bar, but the background of the navigation menu’s li ended up floating on top.
Even setting a higher z-index for my “Le Shi” than the navigation menu did not work. In the end, I resolved it by setting z-index values on its two parent divs with position: relative; — the z-index of the parent div of my “Le Shi” had to be greater than that of the navigation menu for it to work.
