If you are in mainland China and do not have a Visa / Mastercard credit card that supports international payments, I hope this article can help you avoid a lot of detours.
This is not a simple tutorial, but a complete record of my journey from scratch trying various methods, hitting many pitfalls, and finally successfully subscribing to ChatGPT Plus.
Why did I decide to buy ChatGPT Plus?
For the past few months, I have been using ChatGPT almost every day.
I mainly use it for:
- Writing technical blog posts about WordPress
- Translating articles between Chinese and English
- SEO optimization
- Go / PHP development
- Linux server administration
- Google AdSense revenue optimization
- AI tool research
Although the free version is already quite good, as my blog operations increasingly rely on AI, I frequently encounter:

Therefore, I decided to officially subscribe to ChatGPT Plus.
First stop: WildCard
The first thing that came to mind was WildCard, which many people have recommended in the past.
After opening it, I found that the page had changed.
The original AI subscription service has been suspended, leaving only two entries:
- WildCard AI subscription service (suspended)
- Want to subscribe to ChatGPT / Claude?
In other words, WildCard no longer directly provides its previous AI services.
Second stop: OneKey Card
Since WildCard has been suspended, I continued looking for other virtual cards.
The first one I thought of was OneKey Card.
As soon as I opened the official website and prepared to register, I encountered the first problem.
This means:
OneKey Card has currently suspended open registration.
This path is a dead end.
Third stop: Dupay
Since OneKey didn’t work, I continued trying Dupay.
Unexpectedly, the result was even more direct.
The entire Dupay service has been terminated.
A previously very popular option has officially exited the stage of history.
Fourth stop: Wise
Many foreign tutorials recommend Wise.
So, I registered and checked Wise’s relevant features.
I ultimately found:
For users in mainland China:
It is currently impossible to apply for a Wise Debit Card.
This means:
Even if an account can be registered, you cannot obtain a bank card for paying for ChatGPT.
Fifth stop: PayForChat
Later, I learned about another platform:
PayForChat.
So, I did another price comparison.
After a simple calculation, I found:
If only subscribing to ChatGPT Plus,
PayForChat costs about 3 USD more per month than BeWild.
Therefore, I also abandoned this option.
Final choice: BeWild
After going through all this hassle,
I ultimately returned to the platform that WildCard redirected to:
BeWild.
It currently supports:

Although the price is a bit higher than the official one:

But at least:

which is much more convenient for domestic users.
How to choose a plan?
After entering, you can see:

Plus is sufficient for daily use.
Therefore, I did not choose the more expensive Pro.
Next, I continued to select the subscription period.
I hesitated for a moment here.
If purchasing directly:
1 month:
24.99 USD
But when choosing:
the 3-month plan,
it works out to:
about 22 USD per month.
This equates to:
saving another 3 USD per month.
So I finally decided to buy three months directly.
The platform then popped up an explanation.
It specifically noted one point here:
Although multiple months are purchased at once,
the OpenAI backend will still renew monthly.
The platform merely prepays the subsequent months’ fees on behalf of the user in advance.
There is no need to worry about this.
Log in to ChatGPT
Next comes the account verification process.
First, you need to:

Otherwise, the subsequent steps cannot proceed.
The platform then asks you to open:
https://chatgpt.com/api/auth/session
and copy the page content.
When I first saw this,
I was actually a little worried.
After all, I had to copy a large string of JSON data.
However, after reading the official explanation later,
I found that it only uses the current login state to generate a payment authorization,
and does not require entering an account password.
After opening the page:

Payment
Then I entered the payment page.
Since I do not have a credit card that supports international payments,
I ultimately completed the payment directly using WeChat.
The overall payment experience was quite smooth.
Waiting for activation
After payment,
it does not complete immediately.
Instead, it enters:

A minor hiccup
Right after the upgrade was completed,
I mistakenly thought Plus had not taken effect.
There were two reasons:
- It kept prompting:

- The button for adding images and files was grayed out and unclickable for a while.
Later, after testing, I found:

Start a new chat, then switch back to the original chat.
The button immediately returns to normal.
Therefore,
this seems more like a state synchronization issue on the ChatGPT web client right after an upgrade,
rather than a subscription failure.
Final summary
The biggest difficulty in subscribing to ChatGPT Plus this time was actually not ChatGPT itself.
The real trouble was:
how to find a payment method that is still currently available.
As of June 2026, my actual test results are as follows:
