Install Memcached on Windows 10 64-bit and the Memcache Extension for PHP 5.6.27

1. Reference URL: https://commaster.net/content/installing-memcached-windows , as shown in Figure 1

2. Download: http://downloads.northscale.com/memcached-1.4.5-amd64.zip , as shown in Figure 2

3. Extract to: C:\memcached-1.4.5, as shown in Figure 3

4. Run Windows PowerShell as administrator, as shown in Figure 4

5. Execute the following command to add memcached to the Task Scheduler: , as shown in Figure 5
schtasks /create /sc onstart /tn memcached /tr “‘C:\memcached-1.4.5\memcached.exe’ -m 512”

6. To uninstall memcached, you can use the following command: , as shown in Figure 6
schtasks /delete /tn memcached

7. To install the Memcache extension for PHP, open the URL: http://pecl.php.net/package/memcache , as shown in Figure 7

8. Download: 5.6 Thread Safe (TS) x64, as shown in Figure 8

9. Extract to: C:\php-5.6.27\ext\php_memcache.dll, as shown in Figure 9

10. Add the following line in C:\php-5.6.27\php.ini to enable the memcache extension, as shown in Figure 10
extension=php_memcache.dll

11. Edit the environment variable from C:\php-7.0.22 to C:\php-5.6.27, and restart the machine, as shown in Figure 11

12. Check phpinfo, memcache already exists, as shown in Figure 12
